Land O’Lakes Venture37 in partnership with the Government of the Kingdom of Lesotho
Land O’Lakes Venture37 (Venture37) in partnership with the Government of the Kingdom of Lesotho, Ministry of Agriculture, Food Security and Nutrition (MAFSN), through the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) financed Sustainable Transformation of Enterprises in the Poultry Sector (STEPS) project, invites qualified and experienced firm/consultant to facilitate the development of a National Poultry Development Policy, Strategy and Implementation Plan.
The selected firm/consultant will engage in broad sector stakeholder consultation and subsequent drafting and support roll-out of an inclusive National Poultry Development Policy, Strategy and Implementation Plan. The National Poultry Development Policy will guide investment, growth and development of the poultry sector in Lesotho, provide transparency to sector actors, facilitate pathways for multi-sector investments, encourage and facilitate cooperation and collaboration between actors, and ensure inclusion of underrepresented groups including women and youth.
The multi-stage exercise will include stakeholder consultation, drafting of an inclusive policy, feedback and validation exercise, development of a strategy and implementation plan, and provision of capacity building and technical support during roll-out with a total estimated level of effort of 72 working-days.
Applicants must clearly demonstrate past performance and meet the minimum qualifications outlined in the full scope of work including experience in policy development and legislation facilitation in a relevant context. Evidence of experience and success in completing similar engagements in terms of size, design, and rigor is essential. The applicant must demonstrate capacity and resources to be able to conduct the proposed activity.

Maruma Lesego

measures, and maintaining detailed records for poultry production. These experiences have honed my
ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently, adhere to strict schedules, and work collaboratively within a
team.
In addition to my technical skills, I bring strong interpersonal abilities, time management skills, and a
commitment to producing high-quality work. My previous supervisors and colleagues have praised my

Diketso Morata
I hold a Diploma in Animal Science from Tshwane University of Technology (2024) and
Grade 12 from Matswake High School (2018). I am currently pursuing an Advanced
Diploma in Animal Science.
As a student intern at Peezel Farms (2023) and Mojodo and Kids Agricultural Primary
Co-operative Limited (2023), I gained hands-on experience in livestock production,
animal nutrition, breeding, and disease management.
Eager to expand my knowledge and skills, I am excited to join a dynamic team where
I can learn from industry experts, stay updated on best practices, and contribute to
innovative solutions. I possess strong computer literacy, critical thinking, teamwork,
and adaptability skills.
Kgaogelo Ngwasheng
I matriculated year 2012, in year 2013 I completed N4 to N6 certificates in electrical engineering from Capricorn TVET College. I then furthered my studies at Tshwane University of Technology i obtained National Diploma Electrical Engineering. My electrical studies include power engineering, electronics and digital systems with programming. I worked at ISAZI Energy Holdings as an apprentice, where I gain much more knowledge about electrical distribution. In 2018 joined Marungane Projects as an Electrical Technician doing construction and maintenance work at municipal projects, hospitals and clinics. I am currently working Maintenance department at Eagles Pride Hatchery as an electrical mechanical artisan from 1 June 2023. I also have good knowledge and powerful skills with mechanics.
My experiences and skills including build of electrical DB panels (assemble, wiring and maintenance), PLC wiring circuit, fault finding, construction work and management of projects made me more stronger in terms of creativity. I am self-motivated and I take pride of my work.
Khutso Mamabolo
My name is Khutso Mamabolo, a 24-year-old graduate from Polokwane, Limpopo, with a BSc Honours Degree in Animal Science (with distinction). I am currently completing my Master’s in Animal Science and am deeply passionate about improving the quality and productivity of poultry and livestock farming.
